Protesting Detroit police officers joined city officials at a meeting Monday of the Financial Advisory Board.
The officials told the board they are moving forward with most of the reform initiatives under Detroit's consent agreement with the state.
Several police officers and union officials took board members to task, reports Leonard Fleming of the Detroit News, calling on them to feel the pain of the rank and file.
The advisory board last month backed a 10 percent wage cut and other concessions for city employees to achieve about $102 million in savings.
The City Council voted 5-4 against the changes, but Mayor Dave Bing and his administration overruled them.
