American Coney Island, which claims to be the city's oldest server of coney islands, has set up shop at a glitzy Detroit-themed hotel in Las Vegas and this month opened a stand-alone restaurant in Canton.
The Nevada outpost opened last fall in the D Las Vegas Casino Hotel, whose CEO grew up in Michigan and frequented the hot dog eatery, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
The newer suburban Detroit branch is on Michigan Avenue near Sheldon Road, as shown here during its recent opening week.
