The owner of the Peacock Room and Frida, popular women's clothing stores in the Park Shelton at Woodward and Kirby in Midtown Detroit, will open a boutique named Yama on the first floor of the Fisher Building in the New Center area this fall, Metro Times reports.
Rachel Lutz, who owns the Peacock Room and Frida, will open in partnership with a real estate group called The Platform -- which she says recently invited her to open at the Fisher.
"How could I say no to "the world's largest art object?,'" the entrepreneur posts on Facebook. "It will be a complete departure from the style of my other two shops. "
"People ask me how the three stores will differ. The Peacock Room is for women inspired by vintage classics. Frida is for today's woman. Yama will be our sister store of the future,” Lutz says in a release.
