Update, 11:10 a.m.: Fox 2 reports Allen Park police have taken one man into custody and recovered Jimmy Howard's head.
The station said an Allen Park resident called police when he saw a group of men walking into a home, with one of them carrying the head.
Earlier: Police are looking for the thieves who stole the head from a Jimmy Howard bobblehead statue in Detroit's Campus Martius Park.
FOX 2's Roop Raj reports the head was taken off the life-size statue early Thursday.
Police believe five white males posed for pictures with the Red Wings goaltender statue before removing the head. The group tossed it in the backseat of a dark-colored Chevy Malibu and drove away.
