Hometown loyalty was on view at a Red Wings media event Saturday morning in Joe Louis Arena, where coach Mike Babcock and two Michigan-born forwards -- Justin Abdelkar of Muskegon and Luke Glendening of Grand Rapids -- sported Tigers caps "in support of their playoff run," as a social media staffer says in tweets with these snaps.

Glendening isn't just a post-season fan, by the way. "Eat 'em up tigers, eat 'em up!" the 24-year-old tweeted Sept 18 with a photo as he watched Detroit beat the Seattle Mariners 6-3 from a prime seat near the plate.

Alas, the Wings will miss most of Saturday night's Fox coverage from Boston. They're on the ice against the Philadelphia Flyers an hour before the ALDS first pitch.
