The 70-year-old Detroiter, star of a widely acclaimed documentary, is in the Jan. 25 lineup at Hill Auditorium on the University of Michigan campus. Tickets went on sale Friday.

The "Searching for Sugar Man" film about Rodriguez's career rebirth after South African fans found him in Detroit has generated reviews that claim it's worthy of an Oscar for best documentary. . . .
Rodriguez definitely puts on an impressive show. He performed before a sold-out crowd Nov. 2 in Pontiac at The Crofoot.
