
Addressing a parking shortage, the Royal Oak city commissioners on Monday voted 4-3 to approve the building of a seven-story, 550-space parking deck, downtown on an existing parking lot across from the Royal Oak Post Office, the Daily Tribune reports.
The majority of the cost will be funded with a $13.5 million bond.
The deck is will be at Second Street across from the post office, Center Street and Washington Avenue, Mike McConnell of the Tribune reports. It abuts the existing three-story Center Street Parking Deck.
