Detroit police continued Wednesday to search for two Westland teenagers who vanished in Detroit Sunday night.
Fox 2 reported the night the two teens disappeared, several people claim to have seen a thin white man driving in an area on the West Side, screaming the name Jake, one of the missing young men, and firing a gun in the air.
"It was a white guy, white male, driving. I don't know if he was the one shooting, but I know that he did flash a weapon," a man told Fox 2.
A source in the Detroit Police Department confirmed this report, but not the man's identity. 18-year-old Jake Kudla and 17-year-old Jourdan Bobbish were last seen Sunday. Police are following leads the boys went to get high on prescription drugs with a family member.
The boys were last seen at an uncle's house on the east side, but the 2001 white, two door Cavalier they were driving was found on Detroit's west side behind an apartment building. Police say it had been stripped and bleached down. Two men were taken into custody for receiving stolen property.
