Getting old is no easy chore. The pain, the pills, the problems with memory and hearing. The doctor visits.
But it's made all the worse when you're in a bad nursing facility.
The Oakland Press reports that at least a half dozen nursing homes in Oakland County received the worst possible rating for compliance with state and federal regulations.
The paper, citing information compiled by the investigating website ProPublica, showed the nursing homes with the most serious compliance violations included: Lahser Hills Care Center in Southfield; Farmington Health Care Center in Farmington; Cambridge South Healthcare Center in Beverly Hills, Clarkston Specialty Healthcare Center in Clarkston, Boulevard Health Center in Rochester Hills and Medilodge of Rochester Hills Inc., in Rochester Hills.
