You never know what you're getting on any given outing. One moment of promise follows with one moment of pause.

 Scherzer turned in a 15-strikeout gem  against Pittsburgh Sunday as the Tigers won, 4-3. Says Sharp: "You must forgive the Pirates if they left Detroit wondering what the local lamenting regarding the Tigers was about considering they were the victims of two of the best pitching performances ever by a Tiger over the weekend."
