A parole violator known to police as the "Funeral Bandit" — because he allegedly used obituaries to target potential victims — was arrested in Colorado late Monday afternoon, according to The Detroit News' Mike Martindale.

Deputies said Monday they expect to charge the man with multiple offenses after searching his home in Pontiac and finding numerous computers, flat screen TVs, jewelry and other items of value.

The common denominator among the victims was that they were attending funerals when the burglaries occurred.

"He was picked up by authorities in Lakewood, Colo., with suspected stolen property at a pawn shop," said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard. "I will be sending officers out to bring him home. With a birthday card from me."
