Shinola Opening Shop in Its New Woodward Avenue Hotel

Shinola, famous for its watches worn by people like ex-presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton, launches a store Friday in the soon-to-open Shinola Hotel in downtown Detroit, Crain's Detroit Business reports. It's the company's fourth Metro Detroit location.

The 129-room Shinola Hotel at 1420 Woodward Ave. is expected to open next month.

The new 1,600-square-foot Shinola store will feature its regular lineup of goods, and then some, like a Runwell desk clock, Shinola Hotel leather pillow and Shinola Hotel throw blanket.
