Fox 2 Detroit reports the incident happened around 4 a.m. Saturday morning:

“We’re told it was a Sweet 16 Party,” said Sgt. Meghan Lehman with the Troy Police Department. “There was 4 occupants in the hotel room when we got there, ages 16 to 18.”

“Shot the window out and a couple bullet holes in the side of the building, where the party was at,” a witness said.

Troy police said at least five shots were fired, luckily no one was hit.

Hawthorne Suites is an extended-stay hotel on Livernois south of Big Beaver. The teens were described as being from Roseville and Detroit. Suspects are described as young Black males, late teens to early 20s, medium everything. Beyond that, little is known other than that police are "looking for witnesses, looking at video" and "believe (they'll) come up with something."
