Virginia State Trooper Chad Dermyer, 37, a native of Jackson, was fatally shot Thursday at a busy bus terminal in Richmond , Va. by a gunman, who was then killed by two other troopers, Fox 2 reports. Two civilians were also shot and ae expected to recover.
It's unclear what prompted the incident.
Dermyer had been participating with about a dozen other troopers in a training exercise at the bus station when a brief encounter with the gunman turned violent, Fox 2 reports.
