Slows Bar BQ, an anchor of Detroit's Corktown, opened Thursday at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids Thursday, WOOD-TV reports.
The western Michigan outpost has essentially the same menu as here, including ribs, pulled pork, smoked turkey and brisket. Customers order at a window and find seats at long tables with benches.
“We set this up a little differently than what we do in Detroit, it’s more of a market-style. So guests will be talking to the guys cutting the meat and have a lot of interaction with choosing what they want on their plate,” says co-owner Brian Perrone. “The plan was to move people through quickly and ensure that everyone gets a good experience.”
