Defensive tackle Nick Fairley has signed a one-year deal with the St. Louis Rams in a deal worth $5 million in base salary, The Detroit News reports, but he can earn up to $7.5 million in incentives.
The Lions hesited to overpay Fairley after four years of inconsistent play and weight issues, Josh Katzenstein writes.
