At this point it seems the question is: How many more recalls will General Motors issue?

Today, the troubled auto giants ordered a recall of another 3.4 million vehicles, this time ones ranging from  2000 to 2014 model years — most of which are out of production, Nathan Bomey of the Detroit Free Press reports. The automaker discovered the ignition switch could flip off if a car hits a pothole, for instance.

To date, in all, GM has recalled about 6 million vehicles globally for potential ignition-switch defects, the Freep reports. -- A.L.
