Someone Dumped 50,000 Tires in a Lot in Northwest Detroit

Investigative reporter Scott Lewis of WXYZ reports that next to vacant buildings, tire dumping is a major problem in Detroit

In fact, Lewis shows a lot on Lyndon Avenue in Northwest Detroit where there are more than 50,000 old tires that have been illegally discarded.

Lewis reports that a man named Henry Ross, CEO of Beal’s Rubber Recycling, is responsible for the tens of thousands of tires in the lot.
Our investigation reveals that the company did a lot of dumping and virtually no recycling.
