Jamie Daniels, son of Detroit Red Wings television play-by-play broadcaster Ken Daniels, died in his sleep Wednesday morning, at age 23, James Jahnke of the Detroit Free Press reports.
Jamie Daniels spent time as a manager for the Michigan State hockey team while in school, James Jahnke the Detroit Free Press reports.
"Both the Red Wings organization and Fox Sports Detroit would like to offer their heartfelt condolences to the Daniels family during this most difficult time," the team said in a released statement.
