There's no question Larry Nassar, the former Olympic and Michigan State University doctor, sexually assaulted numerous patients.
What's still not clear is when MSU officials knew about the allegations and whether they responded effectively. Some state lawmakers want President Lou Anna Simon to resign, saying she did far too little, far too late.
Now, Attorney General Bill Schuette plans to look into circumstances surrounding the sexual scandal, reports Tim Skubick of Lansing TV station WLNS.
A report suggesting President Simon or other administrators didn't do enough to address the scandal could put their jobs in peril.
The Attorney General’s office says it's still "determining next steps.”
