The Detroit Institute of Art continues to be in the spotlight.
The latest: The Michigan House on Thursday passed a bill prohibiting the DIA from getting its 10-year millage renewed in 2022, Chad Livengood of the Detroit News report.
The bill is one of the many strings attached to the $195 million in bankruptcy aid for city pensioners, Livengood writes.
Democrats have criticized the bill, saying it overrides the rights of voters to decide on a renewal.
