Scott Woosley
Scott Woosley, the executive director of the Michigan State Housing Development Authority, has resigned.
The move comes one day after Dan Egan of the Detroit Free Press reported that Woosely had received tens of thousands of dollars in expenses for travel that included pricey hotels and upscale dining since 2012, when he was named to the post.
“He is resigning effective today,” said Sara Wurfel, a spokeswoman for Gov. Rick Snyder, according to the follow-up article in the Freep by Egan.
Wurfel said the the resignation is “one of mutual agreement.”
