A towing scandal continues to percolate.

Capt. Monica Yesh of the Michigan State Police is the focus of a long-running internal affairs investigation involving allegations she received free tickets to sporting events in return for favoring Area Towing and Recovery of Taylor, and retaliating against subordinates who didn't use the company, Paul Egan of the Detroit Free Press reports. She denies wrongdoing.

Yesh is one of 20 MSP troopers and supervisors who have come under internal investigation since 2015 for alleged inappropriate ties to either indicted Detroit towing boss Gasper Fiore or to Shane Anders, owner of the Taylor Company, the Freep reports.

The Free Press uncovered information about the probe under Michigan's Freedom of Information Act.
