Call it the ghost of Stroh's beer.

Bell's Brewery has released the first beer fermented in wooden tanks used by Stroh Brewing Co. in Detroit, Emily Monacelli posts at MLive.

The beer is called Andrews' Ale, and is inspired by the traditional English-style Extra Special Bitter, MLive reports.

MLive reports that in 2012 Bell's acquired the tanks -- 12 feet in diameter and 8 feet tall -- from Stroh's. They had been in a Detroit warehouse for more than 50 years.
