Three teachers at a school in Highland Township told the Oakland County Sheriff's Office that they unknowingly ate pot brownies this week, WXYZ reports. 

Authorities said  on Tuesday around 3:30 p.m. a teacher at Spring Mills Elementary School in Highland Township reported she was ill during the school day and was taken to a hospital, according to the station.

The teacher reported that she had tested positive for THC, the active chemical in marijuana. The 44-year-old Highland Township woman said the only unusual item she consumed was a brownie from the staff break room.

Two other teachers also reported they felt odd after eating the brownies, but the did not seek medical treatment. Authorities said the brownies test positive for pot.

Authorities are trying to determine who brought the special dessert.
