Here's an unsettling way to start an early morning flight to Texas: A plane clipped another on the taxiway at Detroit Metro Airport, WXYZ and other media report.

Flight 2141 from Detroit to Dallas returned to the gate around 8:30 a.m. after it struck the wing of a Southwest Airlines plane as it left the gate for takeoff, American Airlines says.

No one was injured. Passengers sat on board for about two hours as Federal Aviation Administration inspectors photographed the scene, some tweeted. Here's what a Farmington passenger posts:

That passenger tweets an update to us: "I've been rebooked and will arrive after 3 p.m., 7 hours later due to pilots not paying attention.".
