According to WDIV-TV, Sherri Patrick, a former business manager for the Detroit Federation of Teachers, is being charged with fraud after $75,000 in checks written to herself and her friends were discovered.
Luckily, Rod Meloni reports:
Sherri Patrick was bonded as she did her work which means there was insurance to cover her performance. And so the Detroit Federation of Teachers was able to get most of its money back.
Unluckily, it seems we need new economics class for Detroit employees. Subject: "How to not mess with the money."
