The wheels of justice continued to crank in the beating of a driver Steven Utash, who hit a 10-year-old boy last week.

Robert Allen of the Detroit Free Press reports that one of two teen suspects in the case has been charged with assault with intent to murder.

The Freep reports that Bruce Edward Wimbush Jr., 17, faces charges of assault with intent to murder and assault with intent to do great bodily harm.

A second suspect, a 16-year-old,  hasn't been charged. He remains at the Wayne County Juvenile Detention Center. A court hearing scheduled for 1:30 p.m. at the Juvenile Detention Center.

Utash, 54, has been in a coma. His family has launched a fundraising drive to cover medical expenses. As 2 p.m. Monday, the family has raised more than $117,000.-- Allan Lengel
