Texas Firm Buys Oak Park Food Truck Builder

A Texas company that builds food trucks and manages truck-lease programs has purchased an Oak Park firm that makes  custom food trucks, Crain's Detroit Business reports.

On The Move Inc., based in Boerne, Texas,  has purchased Oak Park-based Detroit Custom Coach LLC, which was founded by Chris Ramos in 2010, Tom Henderson of Crain's reports.

“I am excited that we can now offer our customers trucks of all sizes and work with all budgets. We have offered only one design in the past and can now help every customer,” says Robert Mikalonis, director of food trucks at On The Move.

Detroit Custom Coach will remain in Oak Park and add jobs, Crain's reports.
