Last month, we launched the "Ask Detroit Anything" video series to answer questions like "What's up with this trendy poutine dish?" or "How did they build that crazy Ford display at the auto show?"
But before we did that, we filmed a couple pilots. Just to test out the concept.
Our first pilot unpacks the story how Mexico City ended up with streetcars imported from Detroit, courtesy of Tobi Voigt from the Detroit Historical Society.
In our other pilot, Jim Ketai from Bedrock offers details about renting start-up space in downtown's tech frat house, the Madison building.
As with all pilots, the product is a little rough. The streetcar interview was filmed on an iPhone camera and--smooth, Wattrick--shot vertically so we're stuck with those ugly iPhone side bars. But the first Rockford Files episode had some other guy playing Rocky, so our pilots are in good company. More importantly, we think the information in both these videos makes them worth their while.
Even more importantly, we want to hear from you with your questions about, well, about anything that has to do with Detroit. Drop us a line with your queries and we'll find the answer.
