State Sen. Virgil Smith has become a mystery man.
Rod Meloni of WDIV reports that since he left jail after being locked up for shooting at his ex-wife's car, his whereabouts seems to be unknown.
The station reports that he hasn't been showing up for work, and for that matter, his Detroit home where neighbors have been feeding his dog and cutting his grass. Neighbors say they haven't seen him in more than a week
The station also reports that his Senate office in Lansing is locked and his staff has been transferred to the Democratic caucus’ central office.
Smith’s legislative website has been replaced with this:

Smith was stripped of all leadership positions after his arraignment.
He faces criminal charges in the incident involving his ex-wife. He is scheduled for a court hearing on Friday.
