A day after a Lansing protest of Gov. Gretchen Whitmer's stay-home order, President Donald weighed in, supporting the protesters, some of whom carried long guns.
The Governor of Michigan should give a little, and put out the fire. These are very good people, but they are angry. They want their lives back again, safely! See them, talk to them, make a deal.

The tweet came several hours after Whitmer announced she was extending an order keeping restaurant, bars, casinos and gyms closed through May 28. The order encourages restaurants and bars to provide carry out and delivery of food.
"Although we are beginning to see the curve flatten, we are not out of the woods yet," Whitmer said in a statement Thursday night when announcing the extended closure.
