The Latest Business in New Center Area: U-Haul Buys 283,000-Square-Foot Warehouse

U-Haul is hauling some of its money to the New Center area in Midtown Detroit.

Curbed Detroit reports that the the Phoenix-based company has bought the NBC Building, a  283,000-square-foot warehouse at 899 W. Baltimore, anticipating the need demand from urban pioneers. 

Curbed included this posting from U-Haul International CEO Joe Shoen: "We will provide a safe, acceptable refuge for urban pioneers as they reenter and secure their new residences and businesses in the area."
