
The bomb threat Monday night against the Ambassador Bridge closed the crossing for five hours and occupied the time of employees of nearly a dozen agencies.
U.S. Attorney Barbara McQuade told the Free Press Tuesday: "Hoax threats are not harmless pranks."
The threat re-ignited the debate over building a second publicly owned bridge. Gov. Rick Snyder said a second span would help keep commerce and traffic flowing. But an official with the company that owns the Ambassador Bridge said threats could be called in on that bridge, too.
