Tigers History: Ernie Harwell's Personal Items Up for Auction

You can almost still hear that distinctive Ernie Harwell voice belting out his classics like: "Still plenty of Tiger tickets at the corner of Michigan and Trumbull" and "this one is longgggg gone."

Well, unfortunately, the beloved Tigers announcer is long gone. But he's left some things behind. 

WDIV reports that the estate of Ernie Harwelll is auctioning off his personal items on Saturday including his driver's license, beret, autographed baseballs and other items.

The auction will begin at noon today at the Comfort Inn at 30715 W Twelve Mile Road in Farmington Hills.
He died in 2010.
