Jose Iglesias
Things aren't going well for the Tigers of late.
Here's more bad news: Any hope of shortstop Jose Iglesias, 24, returning this season seems to be gone, according to Tony Paul of The Detroit News.
The Tigers are expected to receive the latest medical report on the shortstop later Wednesday.
“We do not plan on having Iglesias back with us this year,” Dave Dombrowski, the Tigers president and general manager, told The News on Wednesday morning.
Iglesias initially was diagnosed as having shin splints during spring training. That diagnosis later changed to shin fractures.
