Tigers season predictions in early February may be worth about as much as Comerica Park tickets for the first two games of last fall's World Series -- unless the forecaster has covered the home team for more than a quarter-century.

  • Verlander: "Justin Verlander will bounce back and win 16-plus games."
  • Iglesias: "Jose Iglesias will make you press the 'pause' button, then rewind and watch that great play again and again."
  • New outfielder: "Rajai Davis could steal 40-plus bases with sufficient playing time in his first year as a Tiger."
