Trailer: Skateborder Works on Movie Called '#adetroitfilm'

Skateboarder Jordan Garland of Detroit is making a film about Detroit called #adetroitfilm.

He's making a film that tells what Detroit is going through via the experiences of the some of the city's artists, musicians and extreme sports athletes, he says on WDIV's "Live in the D" show. 

"We've hooked up with the most influential artists in each category and everyone is on board to make this positive push," Garland tells WDIV.

He released a trailer of the film Tuesday. 

"I'm so proud to be able to say I was born in a city that is like Detroit. We have the opportunity to tell a story no ones ever going to be able to tell again. There's no other city that's gone through this," Garland says.
