Get ready for the arrival of more Autobots. "Transformers 4" is approved for Michigan film incentives.
The Michigan Film Office announced Wednesday that the latest installment of the hit franchise has gotten the OK for $20 million in incentives on an estimated $81.9 million in in-state spending, Julie Hinds reports in the Free Press.
Shooting is expected to begin this spring and provide jobs for 368 Michigan workers, a state release says.
This will be the third "Transformers" movie to film in Metro Detroit. The first movie, which came out in 2007, and 2011's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," also were shot partly in the Motor City.
