Basking in the aftermath of the FBI letter to Congress, Donald Trump returned to Michigan on Monday and told a crowd in Walker, a Grand Rapids suburb, that a Hillary Clinton presidency would create a "constitutional crisis."
Trump predicted a "protracted criminal investigation and probably a criminal trial," and said "nothing will get done," according to Paul Egan of the Detroit Free Press.
To date, the FBI is not clear on the content of newly found emails and Clinton has downplayed them, saying they won't result in a criminal case.
Trump, who has spent several weeks trashing FBI Director James Comey for not recommending that Clinton be indicted for the email scandal, is suddenly a convert.
He applauds Comey, saying the letter and the review of the emails "brought back his reputation," Trump said, according to the Freep.
