Charlie LeDuff at a Donald Trump press conference in Michigan
Not so long ago the idea of Donald Trump being a front runner in the GOP bid for president seemed a little far fetched.
Well, how about Fox 2's Charlie LeDuff for his vice president?
LeDuff posed that question to Trump during his recent visit to Michigan at a press conference.
It started when LeDuff told Trump during the press conference that he could win the presidency.
"I agree," Trump says.
Then LeDuff suggests he be his vice president , and offers his resume.
"You want to be what? Vice president? Now his questions no longer as good," Trump says.
"He had credibility until he said that. Now it's like where did he come from?"
LeDuff then goes into his report, The Americans with Charlie LeDuff, to say why he qualifies for v.p.
"I come form Detroit," LeDuff says. "I might not live in a penthouse or work in a marble corridor. I might not wear suits or make up or hair spray, but I know this country; been traveling it for years. for years."
His report then goes on to show some of his previous reports, talking to veterans who feel unappreciated, showing he really knows what America is about.
He talks about the immigration issue and the porous border. He says he knows that building a 30-foot high wall along the Mexican border won't help.
"Home Depot sells a 32-foot ladder," he says.
