Artist Tyree Guyton began working with volunteers Sunday to clear the ruins after a second suspicious fire in six months was reported Saturday at the Heidelberg Project, the world-famous art installation near Mt. Elliott Avenue and Mack.
Randy Wimbley reports on Fox 2 the blaze destroyed a building known as "The OJ House" (for obstruction of justice). It's the same place where another fire appears to have been set in May.
The OJ House was built to protest the actions of former Mayor Coleman Young. In 1991, Young's administration leveled abandoned homes that were part of the Heidelberg project, which sprawls across three blocks in a neighborhood that has been decimated by blight.
Guyton told Wimbley he plans to rebuild.
