As a University of Michigan student, Kellyann Wargo, above right, made a name for herself and some spare change by operating the "Shuttle of Shame."
The SOS is a limo service for people who have spent the night with a "friend" and don't want to walk through Ann Arbor the next morning, wearing last night's clothes and, often, smelling of booze.
For $5, she gave the lovers a ride, a water bottle and high-five.
Wargo shot a video, received some media attention, and then VH1 came calling. She'll soon have her own reality show.
Ben Freed reports on Mlive that Jill Holmes, a senior vice president at VH1 and an executive producer of "Walk of Shame Shuttle," said that the station knew once it saw the "sizzle reel" that Wargo could carry the show.
Filming has begun in Ann Arbor and other U.S. cities.
As part of the show, Wargo is also franchising her business across the country. Holmes said VH1 wanted to hit major cities in different regions to give the show broad appeal.
“The show is also being filmed in Los Angeles, Miami, and Boston so I think it’s pretty exciting Ann Arbor is getting grouped in there with major cities,” Wargo said.
The content will consist of rides, breakfasts, tales of the night before, and advice from Wargo, who is now a U-M grad with a chaufer's license.
