MSU President Lou Ann Simon

It hasn't been a good week for ex-MSU President Lou Anna Simon. On Tuesday, she was charged with lying to police about the Larry Nassar investigation.
On Wednesday, things got worse.
The U.S. Senate announced it is reviewing Simon's June testimony to determine if she was truthful.
"The subcommittee expects witnesses to provide truthful testimony as required by 18 USC 1001, and will be independently reviewing Ms. Simon’s testimony," said a spokesman for Sen. Jerry Moran (R-KS), who chaired the subcommittee that Simon testified before, according to Ross Jones of WXYZ.
When questioned by a Michigan State Police detective, she allegedly didn't reveal that she knew Nassar was the subject of a university investigation into a complaint by MSU graduate Amanda Thomashow. The patient said he touched her inappropriately during a 2014 appointment for treatment of hip pain at MSU's Sports Medicine Clinic.
