Update: Detroit Lions Star David Montgomery Is Finished With Season-Ending Surgery

Updated: 3:51 p.m. Monday -- Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery is undergo season-ending surgery after injuring his right knee,  Coach Dan Campbell said, according to the Detroit Free Press.

Specifically, he suffered an injury to his medial collateral ligament (MCL).

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Detroit Lions running back David Montgomery is “out indefinitely” after suffering an MCL injury on Sunday.

Schefter reports that Montgomery is undergoing more tests and could ultimately be out for the season.

Montgomery left the game temporarily Sunday and returned but was used sparingly.
