Update: Monday 2:59 p.m. -- George Anthony Davis Jr., 26, who is suspected of killing four people -- three of them at a Detroit gas station on Monday morning -- has reportedly shot himself in Ohio, Aleanna Siacon of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Detroit Police Commander Jacqueline Pritchett said Davis was being pursued by Ohio police when he pulled into a gas station and allegedly shot himself in the head.

He is hospitalized in critical condition. More details to come.

Gas stations continue to be a crime magnet in Detroit, ranging from robberies and drug dealing to carjackings and  murder. 

In the latest incident, a man shot and killed three people Monday around 8:40 a.m. at the Sunoco gas station at 22700 Fenkell Avenue, between Telegraph and Lahser Road, Fox 2's Robin Murdoch reports. A fourth person was also found shot dead at a nearby home in the 15000 block of Faust. Police suspect the shootings are related.

The people murdered at the gas station include two women in their 20s and a man in his 40s or 50s.

Family and police have identified the shooter as George Davis Jr., Fox 2 reports. His aunt is pleading with him to turn himself in.

One of the women shot is the mother of Davis's child.
