Pi Kappa Alpha's calendar certainly is patriotic. But the University of Michigan fraternity may face trouble for members' semi-nude poses, draped in American flags.
Jezebel, a popular women's issues site owned by Gawker Media.
"Most of the pics involve the American flag in various configurations of dong-drapage," writes Lindy West at Jezebel.
"None of the dudes are quite nude, but you can get nearly all of the gist . . . reminding me why I am so glad I'm not in f**king college anymore."
Now the university's Office of Greek life is investigating, as Woodhouse reports for the local news site.
U-M spokesman Rick Fitzgerald said the Greek life office and Interfraternity Council would consider whether disciplinary actions are appropriate and whether the group's actions were in keeping with the fraternity's code of conduct. . . .
The fraternity has since blocked access to its Flickr account, where the images were posted.
Over at Jezebel, West passes along unsolicited advice:
It's worth reiterating to the young men of America that not everybody is interested in your penis. . . . Sometimes some of you forget. Consider this a friendly PSA.
