Update, 7:45 Monday: The Tigers finally pull the trigger on another trade, the first one since the team dealt away slugger J.D. Martinez to the Arizona Diamondbacks.

The Tigers dealt away ace reliever Justin Wilson and catcher Alex Avila, son of Tigers General Manager Al Avila, to the Chicago Cubs in exchange for two strong prospects for the Tigers system, reports Lynn Henning of The Detroit News.

The Tigers got switch-hitting third baseman Jaimer Candelario and 18-year-old shortstop Isaac Paredes, Henning reports.  Additionally, the Tigers will receive either a player to be named later, or cash.

The trading deadline is 4 p.m. Monday and Tigers' closer Justin Wilson may find himself in another uniform.

The Cubs are working hard on a deal, Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports says. The Dodgers also reportedly express interest in Wilson.

Trade rumors about pitcher Justin Verlander have cooled off. Verlander pitched a great game Sunday at Comerica Park in the Tigers 13-1 victory over the first-place Houston Astros. Some teams are concerned about taking on Verlander's big salary.
