Earlier Report
An instructor at the Firearm Exchange gun range in Livonia accidentally shot man in both legs Saturday afternoon, Fox 2 reports.
Police say the instructor from Lifechoice, which is not affiliated with the gun range, was teaching a concealed pistol license class when he unholstered his gun during a demonstration, pointed it at the door and pulled the trigger, unaware it was loaded, reports Randy Wimbley of Fox 2.
The bullet struck a man in another classroom, going through one leg and hitting the other.
"He's very remorseful," attorney Terry Johnson says of his client who fired the gun. "He's really concerned about the gentleman that was injured. He sends his wishes to him and his apologies as well. That's his main focus, to make sure he's okay."
