Update, Friday, 3:54 p.m.: It's off to summer camp.

Oakland County Family Court Judge Lisa Gorcyca has ordered the release from Children's Village of three kids who refused to attend a court-ordered lunch with their dad. Instead, the kids, at the father's request, will be sent to summer camp, John Wisely of the Freep reports.

Original article, earlier Friday:

The move by an Oakland County judge to send three kids to a juvenile detention center for contempt for refusing to have a court-ordered lunch with their dad is continuing to stir up strong sentiments.

Fox 2 reports that a pair of online petitions have sprung up in support of the Tsimhoni children, who were removed from their mother's home in late June after refusing to go to the lunch. This is all part of a messy divorce.

One petition is asking that Oakland County release the children. That one has almost 5,000 signatures so far.

Another is asking that the court remove Oakland County Judge Lisa Gorcyca of family court from the bench. That one has more than 4,000 signatures so far.

Fox 2 reports that the 15, 10 and 9 year-olds have been separated in Children's Village where they're being held. They've also been denied visitation by their mother, whom the judge has accused of brainwashing the children so they won't want to spend time with dad.
